We can enter a room where there's so much in front of us to be thankful for, and we will zero in on something that's wrong and that's where our focus remains. Someone or something does not meet our standards, our preferences, or even our demands--we grumble, criticize, and complain. Because of indwelling sin, pride is our default setting."
